Moonspell fans rejoice! The Portugese metallers have just revealed that they will be releasing their new album, “Extinct,” in March via Napalm Records! This will be their first release since “Alpha Noir/Omega White” two years ago, and it sounds like we have a very dark record to look forward to. Here’s what they said about the upcoming material, “All but a musical and emotional manifesto. It puts the D of darkness back into dark metal. It’s a true lesson for the new generations of goth metal about how it’s played and felt with body and soul; a lesson taught by no others than our Portuguese gentlemen wolves.”
Track listing: “Until We Are No More (Breathe)”, “Medusalem”, “Funeral Bloom”, “Domina”, “La Baphomette”, “The Last Of Us”, “A Dying Breed”, “Malignia”, “Extinct”, “The Future Is Dark”
According to SLAYER guitarist Kerry King, the band is "pretty much done" recording its new album at Henson Recording Studios in Hollywood, California for an early 2015 release. The CD is being produced by Terry Date, who previously worked with the group on the song "Implode", which was made available as a free download as a "thank you" to SLAYER's fans for their continued support following the band's surprise performance at this past April's Revolver Golden Gods awards in Los Angeles.
During a November 6 appearance at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nevada, King stated about SLAYER's next studio album: "We just pretty much got done recording. We're gonna go in for, like, ten days at the end of this [run of shows with EXODUS and SUICIDAL TENDENDIES]… and record some more stuff. We've got enough for a record now. We're just gonna go in and record some more, 'cause we have time. And that should be out early next year."

According to The Pulse Of Radio, AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been under fire since last week when it was initially reported that he was arrested in an alleged murder-for-hire plot. Those charges were eventually dropped, but he's still facing charges of "threatening to kill" as well as possession of meth and marijuana. He could end up sentenced to seven years in jail.
Although the Daily Mail has published a scathing story about Rudd's exploits with female escorts, the same tabloid has also quoted his son Thomas as saying that his father is "not perfect, but wouldn't harm anyone."
Other friends of the family and neighbors have come out in Rudd's defense, calling him "a good neighbor" and "a pretty nice guy."
